Polymer clay, Mixed Media and Steampunk.

I’ve never been a Steampunk person but I like certain Steampunk stuff.I just thought I’d give it a try and was happy with the result. πŸ™‚

I forgot someone gave me a big canvas board and I finally found the time to do something with it.

This is a smaller canvas board and I finished this last night. πŸ™‚

That’s it for today. I’ve been busy in the meantime and I’m waiting for items to dry for the next project. Hopefully I can post it tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Kraken Attacks!

One day I got asked if I could do a Kraken bottle as a commission. The bottles are gorgeous as they are. I had no clue what to do with it. But I came up with a nice idea, using rubber tentacles. This is way before I started working with Polymer clay. After this bottle I got obsessed with tentacles and octopuses. And Kraken bottles.

Jars and bottles.

Then I started to do some jars and bottles. People give me the bottles, and I still have a lot to decorate.Β I made most of the labels myself as well. Here are a few.

I’ve been told by a very reliable source that this is the right colour of embalming fluid.

Welcome to Magick Willow Designs UK!

Hi there, I’m Esther,Β I’m working full time, and craft in my spare time, forgetting the world around me as I do so.

What started out as a hobby on Halloween last year, grew out to a full blown passion. I started out decorating mini potion bottles, jars and later on big bottles Halloween/apothecary style, my favourite time of the year.

As people started to get interested in buying the stuff I make, I set up a Facebook page and came up with a name, Magick Willow Designs UK, and started using this name last January. How did I come up with the name? I love Magickal stuff, without me being a witch, a pagan, a goth or any other name you can think of, even though I’ve always been interested in all these things I do love anything horror though. Willow is the name of my beautiful lovely dog who passed away in 2014. She was my best friend duringΒ the hardest time in my life, and I will always carry her in my heart. And I’m sure she is sort of helping me out up there on that Rainbow Bridge right now. πŸ™‚

Later on I discovered working with polymer clay which I absolutely love, and started some mixed media projects, who are hanging nicely on the wall now.

All my items are made with lots of love, sometimes with blood, sweat and tears but all worth it in the end. I did sell some stuff, but I don’t anymore. However I still do commissions.

I will post photos of everything I make, there will be quite some octopuses involved as I have a strange affiliation with them haha. I will post photos as I go along with WordPress. Bear with me as I do so.

Have fun! πŸ™‚
